Creating splash pages

When thinking about your website marketing you may have come across the term splash page or landing page. These pages could be stand-along pages or part of a bigger website. The ideas of these pages is to allow you to theme them very closely to the search term that someone has searched for on the search engines such as Google or Yahoo. You may also use landing pages or splash pages for Adwords campaigns. They are often used for promoting a particular product or service that your company offers.

By theming the page on one particular product or service you will be able to make sure the images, content and SEO is all extremely relevant. This may increase your chances of getting found on the search engines for organic searches.   

If you use Google Adwords, you can create landing pages for your ads that are highly relevant to your Google Adwords ad group content. Having your ads link through to a page that is extremely relevant may not just improve conversions but will also help to improve your quality score often meaning your cost per click will go down.
