Brand recognition is something that big companies set a lot of focus on, realising the importance of people knowing your company logo and or company tag lines, however a recent study has shown that most people only recognise large brand logos reliably and many confuse similar looking logos with other brands.
The logos that we’re easily recognised tended to be simple ones that most of us see on a daily basis around and about, such as car logos or fast food logos.
Amongst the more difficult to detect logos were the ones for the technology companies and some of the smaller retailer logos.
For a logo to be reasonably well recognised the key is a simple format with often bold colours and a catchy company tag line that’s easy to remember. The logo needs to be seen by people frequently as it usually takes three separate forms of viewing an advert for people to actually take full notice of the company and what it does.
Social media and email advertising is still amongst the most popular and successful forms of advertising used to raise brand awareness.
