Branding is essential to helping your business grow and be successful. Many brands take a number of years to build up a reputation and often this is done through highly targeted PR work. This can be done through a number of different channels such as social media marketing, TV/Radio campaigns, website marketing and leaflet dropping. Often you will need to put in quite a lot of time and sometimes a lot of money to get your brand off the ground, which is why it can be devastating to learn that your branding is under threat?
With the likes of reviews, press coverage and social media it is very easy for a brands reputation to be disturbed and often this quickly has a negative impact on sales etc. Unfortunately, a business may be hit by a number of bad reviews or derogatory social media posts that are completely unfounded. These can be done by competitors using different accounts or by one disgruntled customer who wants to get their own back. It is vital that you do not ignore this bad rep and actually respond to it. Often with reviews you can kindly ask the person to contact you to discuss it more and if you can find no evidence that they actually used your company, reply to the comment to say that you have no record of them purchasing from you and that you always deal promptly with any issues, but if they wish to contact you, you would be happy to look in to it for them. This shows to other people reading the review that it may not be a genuine review but that you do take customer feedback seriously.
