Online or Offline Marketing

Years ago everyone used to invest their marketing budgets in to offline avenues such as Yellow Pages, local newspapers and flyers / banners but now the market has shifted and companies are realising that offline marketing alone simply isn’t enough.

This change has occurred due to the number of people relying on the internet to find products and services they need. No longer do many people pick up the Yellow pages to find a local dog groomer, they search on the web.

Both forms of marketing have their advantages, but online marketing is certainly a lot easier to track and allows you to change and tweak content and update regularly, which is often not possible in offline marketing.

The first step to online marketing is to have a website and / or social media profiles so people can start to find you when searching. Once these are established and up and running you will then need to put aside regular time to add and improve them to push up your position on the search engine result pages.
