A brand is basically a type of product created by a company under a particular name. We see millions of brands every day and to most of us they just become the norm. Some brands are so large that they may even come in to our conversation daily without us really thinking about it. A great example of a brand is Hoover. The name Hoover is actually a brand but because they were the market leaders of vacuum cleaners people often refer to a vacuum cleaner as a Hoover, not even knowing that it is only one brand. This is what industries thrive on, and if you can build up your brand so it is a recognised house hold name then you are sure to be on to a winner. Social media can really help build up brand awareness and the beauty of it is that it can reach your customers in real time.
