Many businesses in the UK are preparing to open again as the national lockdown starts to lift. It may be that your business has been closed for several months or that you have had to adapt to a new way of trading.
As you prepare to re-open or expand your business again, you need to ensure that you keep your customers informed as to what’s happening. It is vital that they know when you are open and what they can expect when you open again. If for example you run a restaurant you may decide to not open until the weekend after restrictions have been lifted. Many customers may assume you are opening on the day of lockdown easing so it is important to convey this beforehand to avoid disappointment. You may also have to have a rule of six or two household policy and if you are only a small restaurant you may state that you cannot take walk ins so everyone must book ahead. Keeping your customers and potential customers informed will ensure that your reopening is as hassle free as possible and that you start being business in as soon as you can. If you do not advertise that you are reopening you may miss out!
